the flat and steepy stairs

置中

I apologize for the blurry picture, but it was done in such a haste.

This is the flat we had stayed in the past eight days. It was, as we were told, a typical Dutch housing, or a characteristic Amsterdamian. The nwrrow entry on the ground floor was for one 'normal' size American, or sometimes a 'slim' size. We were all bundled in winter coats, which caused some squeezy trouble to pass the doorway with hard-shell suitcases. And the killing device ensued, the stairs with a so sharp inclination that we almost vertically climbed up with each 20kg cases.

Since it is europe, of course, they are U-turning-ly winding.

Our landlord is supposed an artist, with a nice sense of humor (which Meg considers rare in Dutch) and good laughters, many. His flat is laid out cozily and colored with his own paintings.

We settled in this flat, and I love those over-sized windows. They bring so much light in.
